First TFSP Certificates Awarded

Congratulations to MacConnell Transport Limited of Woodstock, N.B., the first trucking company in Canada to be awarded a Trucking Food Safety Program (TFSP) compliance certificate. Brad MacCallum, President and Founder of Kasar Canada Ltd. and Ralph Boyd, President of the Atlantic Provinces Trucking Association were on hand to present the certificate to co-owners Larry and Leanne McConnell.

Erb Transport Limited, of Baden, Ont. will also be awarded a compliance certificate, becoming the second company in Canada to have a TFSP program implemented. Congratulations to Tim Zehr and his team.

In order to receive the certificates both companies had to implement a comprehensive HACCP-based program to ensure food safety within their operations. The certificates were issued after each company was inspected by Kasar auditors and passed a rigorous TFSP compliance audit.
